MEALMAKER FRY | SOYACHUNKS FRY
Mealmaker fry/ Soya chunk fry is something most of us love.
It is actually pretty simple with just 5 main ingredients. It is actually a side dish for our main curries, but trust me it's much more like snack to munch on, when it is fried.
COOKING TIME: 20 MINUTES
SERVINGS: 3 to 4 serves
INGREDIENTS:
1. Oil: 2 table spoon
2. Meal maker/ soya chunks: 200gms or 1 ½ cup
3. Turmeric powder: 1/2 teaspoon
4. Daniya powder: 1/2 teaspoon
5. Chilly powder: 1 teaspoon
6. Salt: 1/2 teaspoon
OPTIONAL:
Cumin seeds (zeera): 1/2teaspoon
Coriander leaves: 1/4thcup
PREPARATION:
1. Wash the soya chunks with water
2. Then take a utensil add about 1 glass of water and add the soya chunks into it
3. Now on the stove and boil the soya chunks for about 2-3 minutes (flame: high)
4. Wait till they are cool (you can add some normal water in into it, so that it cools down fastly).
5. Then cut the soya chunks vertically into slices (it helps in frying and saves times)
6. The soya chunks will have water in them, so drain the water.
PROCEDURE:
1. Take your frying pan, add oil into pan and also you can add zeera
2. Then add the drained soya chunk slices, salt and fry them for 10minutes
