POTATO FRY | ALOO FRY
Potato fry/ aloo fry is everybody's favorite. Here is a simple, fast recipe.
Potato fry taste's best with TOMATO CHARU or PAPU CHARU with rice.
Also potato fry/ aloo fry with DOSA is a classic combination.

COOKING TIME:15-20MINUTES
SERVINGS: 3-4SERVES
INGREDIENTS:
1. Potato: 5-6 Medium sized
2. Oil: 3 tablespoons
3. Cumen seeds: 1/2 teaspoon (zeera)
4. Onion: 1 medium sized
5. Turmeric powder: 1/2 teaspoon (haldi)
6. Corainder powder: 1/2 teaspoon (dhania)
7. Salt: 1/2 teaspoon or as per taste
8. Chilly powder: 1teaspoon or
green Chilly: 5-6
9. Corainder leaves
PROCEDURE:
1. First, boil the potatoes.
For boiling, take a cooker and add one glass of water to it. Cut the potatoes each into 2 pieces and add them to the water. Close the lid and wait for 3 whistles.
2. After the potatoes are boiled, remove them from the water and peel the potatoes.
3. Then dice into pieces. Also chop your onion into pieces.
4. Take a frying pan and ON the stove.
5. Then add oil and cumen seeds to it.
6. Wait for 30 seconds to 1minute. Then add the onion pieces to the pan.
7. Wait till the onions are light brown in color.
8. Then add the turmeric and coriander powder and mix them properly.
9. Then add the boiled potato pieces. And mix them properly.
10. Wait for 2mins.
11.Then add the Salt and Chilly powder and mix it well. Wait for 2mins.
12. Your potato fry is ready.
(if you're using green Chilly instead of Chilly powder, you can add the green Chilly after adding cumen seeds and skip adding the Chilly powder step)
