EASY SHEER KURMA RECIPE FOR EID
Sheer kurma is a vermicelli dish, which is rich in milk, dry fruits and love.
I remember when we used to wait for Ramzan, so that we can have sheer kurma. When I was a child, we didn't know that sheer kurma was made on EID, and not during Ramzan. It's a treat for everyone and especially my sister loves this dish, so my mom started preparing it every year on the day of EID. This recipe is how we make sheer kurma at home.
PREPARATION TIME: 30 MINUTES
SERVING: 6 SERVES
INGREDIENTS:
1. Vermicelli: 1 small tea cup
2. Milk: 1 liter
3. Sugar: 1 bowl
4. Milkmaid: 3tablespoons (optional)
5. Ghee: 2tablespoons
6. Raisins: 10-15
7. Almonds: 10-15
8. Dates: 5-10
9. Walnuts: 5-10 (optional)
10. Sunflower seeds: 1 teaspoon (optional)
PROCEDURE:
1. Firstly, chop the nuts and dates into small pieces.
2. Then take a utensil, place it on a stove and ON the stove. Add ghee.
3. Then add all the dry fruits and fry them for 1-2minutes.
4. Then take the dry fruits, into a separate plate or bowl.
5. Add the vermicelli to the utensil, which already has the ghee.
6. Fry the vermicelli, till it becomes lite brown.
7. Then add the milk and milkmaid to the vermicelli and wait till the milk boils.
8. Then add sugar to the vermicelli, and wait for 3-4 minutes.
9. Once the sugar is melted, then add the dry fruits.
10. Your sheer kurma is ready.
