ONION BAJJI | ONION PADUKI

Onion bajji always tastes better with rice flour but we can also make it with chana flour ( shanaga pindi).

INGREDIENTS:

1. 6 tablespoon rice flour1

2. 1 teaspoon chilli powder

3. 3/4 teaspoon salt

4. 1/2 teaspoon dhaniya powder ( Corainder powder)

5. 1/2 teaspoon zeera (cumen) or 1/4 teaspoon ajwain (Oma)

 6. 1 teacup water

7. 2 medium onion.

PROCEDURE:

1. First add rice flour to bowl, then add chilli powder, salt, dhaniya powder, zeera, onion.

2 .Then slow add water to that mixture and mix. Remember the batter should not be soggy, it will be dry but yet be soft.

3. Then add oil to the kadai, wait till the oil is heated. Then slowly add onion bajji matter in small small quantities like bajji into oil and on low flame.

4. Then turn the flame high, once the bajji are done ( you can guess that by the color of onion it will slightly brown and texture of batter), turn the flame low and remove the bajji and repeat the same process.

5. Your onion bajji are ready, serve them hot with some chat masala.
