PINEAPPLE ICECREAM | PINEAPPLE ICE CREAM WITH HEAVY CREAM
Pineapple icecream is one such icecream which is very rarely available and which tastes good. One place where I love pineapple icecream is creambell. So I thought why not prepare something which I love and which also tastes good. This is my second attempt and this icecream is actually delicious. Here is my recipe for pineapple icecream at home and you can make it without heavy cream too.
Also don’t forget to check the nutritional values at the end of the recipe
INGREDIENTS:
1. Pineapple: 2 medium sized
2. Full fat milk: 1 litre
3. Sugar: 1 teacup (or as per taste)
4. Salt: 1/4 teaspoon
5. Pineapple essence: 1 teaspoon
6. Heavy cream (optional)
7. Corn flour: 3 tablespoons
PROCEDURE:
1. Firstly cut the pineapple, the way I do which has less wastage of pineapple is as follows:
First remove the crown part of pineapple
Then coming to the body part, remove the thorns and cut the bottom part.
Even after removing the outer thorns, we usually have the thorns in the pulp, here we will cut the part of the pulp longitudinally, such that the throns will no longer be in the pulp.
Continue the same process on the whole pineapple.
Then we will have the inner part and some pulp remaining.
Now cut the remaining pulp and keep aside the inner part of pineapple.
Then cut the overall pulp of pineapple into small peices so that we can grind them.
And similarly cut the other pineapple.
NOTE: if the pineapple is not sweet, cut the pineapple as mentioned and keep it in fridge for 1-2 days or atleast overnight.
2. Now take the pineapple pieces (outer pulp) and add grind in a grinder.
3. Then strain the juice from the grinder using a muslin or cotton cloth. By doing this we can ensure that there are no thorns in the juice.
4. Take the remaining pineapple pieces (inner pulp) and add grind them in a grinder.
5. Remove the juice from the grinder and add it in a bowl.
6. Now take the inner part of the pineapple and cut them into small small pieces.
7. Then take some of the strained juice and add it to those small pieces in a bowl.
8. Then boil the small pieces and the strained juice and also add sugar to them. Let it boil for 5mins so that the pineapple pieces will soak the sugar.
9. Take the full fat milk 900ml and boil them. Also add sugar and salt.
10. As they are boiling add corn flour 5teaspoons to 100ml milk and mix properly, there should not be any lumps.
11. Then add mixed cornflour into boiling milk.
12. Let it boil for 5-10mins.
13. Then off the stove and let them cool.
14. After the milk is cooled. Then add the strained juice and juice of inner pulp to the milk.
15. Also add pineapple essence.
16. Keep it in freezer over night.
17. Next day, remove the icecream from the frizer and grind it once.
18. Then add into a bowl and add the boiled pineapple pieces. Mix it once and keep it in frizer.
19. Once the icecream is set. Your pineapple icecream is ready.
