BASIC CHEESECAKE RECIPE| CHEESECAKE WITHOUT CREAM CHEESE
PREPARATION TIME: 30 MINUTES
COOKING TIME:30 MINUTES
INGREDIENTS:
1. Full fat milk: 1 litre
2. Vinegar: 1 tablespoon
3. Eggs: 2
4. Sugar: 4 tablespoons
5. Cornflour: 1 teaspoon
6. Biscuits: 10-15
7. Butter: 1 tablespoon/ ghee
8. Essence: 1teaspoon
9. Heavy cream: 100gms (optional)
PREPARATION:
CREAM CHEESE :
1. Boil the full fat milk.
2. Once the milk are boiled, then add the vinegar so that the milk curdles.
3. Wait till the entire milk is curdled.
4. Then take a thin cotton cloth and add the curdled milk to it. And drain the milk so the extra water will be separated.
5. Once the water are completely drained. Your cream cheese is ready.
* if you want you can buy the cream cheese directly from any store, to avoid the above steps*
6. Once the cream cheese is ready, add it a grinder jar.
7. Then add eggs to it. Beat eggs or you can grind the mixture.
8. Then add the sugar, corn flour, vanilla essence (or any other essence you have at the moment) and grind them.
9. If you have heavy cream you can also add that to the mixture.
10. That's it, cream cheese layer is ready.
BASE:
1. For the base, we need biscuits. You can choose any biscuits you want, here we used marigold biscuits.
2. We need to crush the biscuits. You can use a hand crusher.
*don't make it into a fine powder*
3. Then add the butter to the crushed biscuits and mix them properly.
* we added unsalted butter here, you can also add salted butter if don't have the unsalted one*
4. Take the bowl in which you will bake the cheese cake, and grease it with some butter or oil. If you have butter paper, grease it instead of the bowl.
5. Once the biscuits and butter are properly mixed, add this to the bowl in which you will bake the cheese cake and spread it evenly.
6. Press the biscuits layer, so it forms a layer of crust and your base is ready.
COOKING PROCEDURE:
1. Once the base is ready, add the cream cheese layer on top of the base and spread it evenly.
2. Take an old pan and place it on the stove. Then take your cooker and place it on the pan.
3. Add a cup of salt. place any steel stand on top the salt based on the height of the cooker and the bowl of the cake, so that the lid of the cooker can be closed.
*this steel stand is required, to avoid over burning of the bowl*
*you can any lid of the steel box, like we used here instead of the steel stand*
4. Then close the cooker and don't forget to remove the whistle of the cooker and the black rubber around the lid of the cooker.
5. Pre heat the cooker for about 5mins.
6. Then place the bowl of the cake in the cooker and close the lid.
7. keep the stove on high flame.
8. Let it bake for about 15 minutes, then check if it properly cooked using a knife or a tooth pick.
*if the cake is properly cooked, then there won't be any batter on the knife or toothpick, if there is any batter on, then it indicates that the cake is not cooked properly*
9. If the cake is not baked properly, wait for 5-10 minutes more. Till it is properly baked.
10. After it is baked, then remove the cake from the cooker and Take into a plate.
11. Your yummy cheesecake is ready.
